IAS i.e. Indian Administrative Service is a dream career for millions of students in India. IAS is also known as Civil Services Examination(CSE) conducted by UPSC.

CSE is treated as one of the most prestigious exams in India which is conducted in three phases-Preliminary, Mains and Personality Test or Interview in which more than 9 lacs aspirants apply every year for this service and about 1000 are selected.
Salary/Income-Once you get selected in CSE, your salary starts with a range 15,600-39100 plus grade pay.

Age & Attempts-

#The minimum age required to apply for IAS is 21 years in all categories. You must be at least 21 years old on 1st August.

Exam Pattern-As mentioned earlier, one has to go through a very tough process of three phase-exam to become an IAS officer. The details are here-
Phase-I: Preliminary Exam-In this phase, there are two papers-

Remarks-I.One needs at least 33% marks to qualify for mains exam.

II.There is also negative marking i.e. for one wrong answer 1/3 of the marks of a question is deducted.
Phase-II.Mains Exam-In this phase, there will be 9 papers in which the 1st two papers are called qualifying papers-
